We have always advocated that our customers localise their apps in order to take advantage of foreign markets, but with the release of our first two iPhone apps, we had a chance to look at the sales implications directly.

Our first app, Robertsons Phrasebook free, was released on the 1st of September and was localised into English, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Spanish and Icelandic.

Our second app, Robertsons NameIt Free, was released on the 16th September, but was available only in English.

Our newest iPhone App has now been approved and is available to download from the App Store, by clicking here. It’s a vocabulary game operating in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Chinese and Icelandic.

The game was developed entirely in-house in only a few weeks, using Objective C, XCode and the Cocos2D game engine. It shows that we can quickly handle complex apps containing animation, sound effects and music.

It’s an exciting time for us, with the code completion of our first iOS App. It’s a free phrasebook taster with more than 400 phrases covering basic vocabulary, meeting and greeting people, travel, shopping, eating out and emergencies.
