Increase in English training

We are seeing a significant upturn in the number of English courses currently being requested. Many multinational companies are investing in improving the communication skills of their senior managers by sending them to us for intensive English language and culture training. These are one-to-one courses, giving the learner every opportunity to build on their existing knowledge and reach new levels of English competence. Each course will focus on the business needs of the trainee, such as improving their English for making presentations, sales negotiations, managing teams or handling problems. And they are also based on the trainee’s company, using their own presentations, emails, reports etc.

We really enjoy creating personalised training plans for their language level and business focus. Each person presents different challenges and many have specific requests. In addition to the intensive 6-8 hour per day programme we can build in cultural visits (London, Oxford and Windsor are all regular favourites). Over the years we have also arranged a Beatles weekend in Liverpool, a Scottish weekend visiting Edinburgh and the Highlands and many other activities that make their visit special.

Trainees often opt to stay with one of our fabulous ‘homestays’. These are local people who enjoy hosting foreign visitors and give them an opportunity to experience life in the UK. This extends the opportunities for practising English and many have remained friends long after the end of the course. Many of our trainees are amazed to find that British people are friendly and the food is wonderful!
